Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development Authority, established by the Irish Government in May 2003 to guide and promote the development of tourism as a leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. Our vision for Irish tourism is that of a dynamic, innovative, sustainable and highly regarded sector offering international and domestic visitors a positive and memorable experience beyond their expectations. Further information on Fáilte Ireland can be found on our website www.failteireland.ieTo achieve its objectives, Fáilte Ireland, works in partnership with the tourism industry, providing an extensive range of support services and business solutions designed specifically to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourism destination. During 2010, Fáilte Ireland has intensified its efforts by focussing on 800 key businesses which we believe will be crucial to bringing recovery and long term growth to the Irish tourism industry. Each of these businesses have been allocated a “key account manager”, who has met with them and advised them of Fáilte Ireland supports which can help with any difficulties they may be experiencing.As part of its planning for 2011, Fáilte Ireland would like to conduct a survey of these 800 businesses to measure how satisfied they are with Fáilte Ireland, its activities, staff and services. Fáilte Ireland would also be interested in conducting complementary qualitative research to add depth to the main survey findings if that is feasible within the time and budgetary constraints of this project.ObjectivesIn particular, the survey will have the following broad objectives:• Awareness of and participation in Fáilte Ireland training and support programmes.
