Tender description

Kiljames Bridge is located approximately 3 miles east of Thomastown on the R703 Graiguenamanagh to Thomastown Road in County Kilkenny. The contract provides for the widening of the existing masonry arch bridge with a cast in-situ reinforced concrete arch culvert arrangement and new masonry faced parapet walls. Improvements to the existing horizontal and vertical alignment of the carriageway for a distance of 50m approx. on each approach to the bridge to allow for the widening of the existing pavement to form a 7m wide carriageway. The works will also include for site clearance works, services diversions, boundary treatment for affected landowners, surface water drainage and all other associated works.A Traffic Management Plan will be operated for the duration of the Contract.Note that this is a non-exhaustive list of the Works to be completed as part of this Contract. The full extent of the works should be determined from reference to the Contract as a whole.
