Title: Ref – 2012 Salmon and Sea Trout Angling and Commercial Carcass TagsSalmon Carcass Gill Tags are required to be attached to salmon and/or sea trout once the fish is caught and dispatched. The tag is attached through the gill opening and mouth and securely double locked around the fishes gill cover. Each tag shall be embossed with a TAG CODE and a TAG SERIAL NUMBER.Quantity: 225,000 (refer to attached spreadsheet for tag colours, quantities, combinations, tag codes and tag serial numbers).Description of Angling (blue tag) and a commercial gill tag (Green,White, Orange)1. A gill tag shall be -(a) made of plastic and bear a locking device (double locking), and(b) at least 0.5 centimetres in width and at least 18 centimetres in length with printed details (embossed onto the tag) and colour as specified below.2. ColoursAnglingBlue = Rod and lineCommercial fishing licencesGreen = Draft netWhite = Snap netOrange = Other fishing engineDescription of Yellow Tail TagTail tags are used to fasten the tag to and securely locking it on the fish carcass by attaching it around the tail of the fish with one end being passed through the locking device and pulled until the tag is securely in place that it cannot be removed without tampering with the lock, breaking or cutting the tag or without cutting or tearing any part of the fishYellow Tail Tag1. Physical description of a tail tag:A tail tag shall be—(a) yellow in colour,(b) made of plastic and bear a locking device,(c) a cable tie type tag with flag to allow printed details, and(d) a minimum of 19 centimetres in length with printed details as specified below.
