State of the Environment 2012: Design Concept & Template (Lot 1) & Prepress Production (Lot 2)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required by legislation to produce a state of the environment report every four years.Lot 1: Design Concept and Template Requirements1. Provision of design concepts for the SoE 2012 report that take into account the scope, audience and visual nature of the report. SoE2012 will be a full colour report (text and cover) Development of the design template for the SoE 2012 report. Provision of design concepts, suggested usage of web applications and wireframes for the Environment in Focus website. Final design concept to be provided to the EPA for technical development of the site. The current pages can be viewed at http://www.epa.ie/environmentinfocus/. Provision of design concept and template for 10 ‘factsheets’ which will be 1 x A4 page and will be printed front to back. Design will be the same for all factsheets. Provision of design concept and template for ‘conference folders’ which will be A4 in size. Provision of design concept and template for SoE 2012 in Microsoft Powerpoint 2010. Upon awarding the contract, the successful tenderer will need to commence work immediately and will be required to deliver draft designs for July 2011.*All of the above will carry the same design theme with close inter-linkages between all products. Lot 2 - Prepress Production Requirements:1. The graphic designer shall undertake the prepress production of the SoE 2012 report adhering to the SoE 2012 report design and integrated brand;. Experience in producing graphs in Adobe Illustrator is required. In the event that unforeseen circumstances on the part of the EPA affect the delivery of the project, tender submissions should allow for a contingency of up to 20 working days. This contingency cost should be included in the breakdown of costs.
