Installation of Lift and minor building works

Tender description

The works shall consist of the installation of a disabled lift adjacent to the music hall area and the blocking up of a window and the removal of same and plaster and skim in to match in with the existing wall/ structure on site and the painting of same.The works will also include minor alterations of the plumbing to the radiators and also alteration to some of the electric conduits (utilising three phase’s electricity to the lift).Breaking out of the wall between the assembly room and the music hall and installing new architrave and skirting and installing a new door around the area of the lift installation.There will be some small internal works that will be outlined on the drawings.The second part of the summer works scheme will consist of the partitioning off of the viewing area above the basketball court and the fire sealing of same and the provision of two elongated viewing panels (fire rated glass). This partition will have to be structurally designed and tied into the existing walls and ceiling and fire rated material at the ceiling junction.The removal of the existing stud storage room will also have to be carried out.The final phase of the works will involve the demolishing of a block wall externally and the construction of a new cavity block wall together with insulation, electric etc. New windows, doors and provision of access to the gym will have to be installed. A second floor will also have to be added in, new concrete ground floor together with insulation installed and roof as per the drawing enclosed.
