Tender description
NPWS is calling for tenders to monitor the conservation status of the Annexed habitats harboured in the ten Raised bogs listed in Table 1. The following methodologies should be consulted:- Raised Bog Monitoring Survey, including site reports (Fernandez Valverde et al., 2005 )See also:- For habitat 7150 (Rhynchosporion) monitoring see: Upland survey manual (Perrin et al., 2010 )- For habitat 91D0 (bog woodland) monitoring see: National Survey of Native Woodlands (Perrin et al., 2008 (Vol. 1) )A revised survey approach based on these methods will be agreed with NPWS prior to the field survey. Any changes in habitat extent, quality or intensity of pressures from previous surveys will be assessed. The results from this monitoring survey will be used to complete updated (2013) national assessments of the conservation status of each habitat type following EU guidelines.
