NHS South West Essex is seeking expressions of interest for organisations to take over the running of The Brambles Practice, Brentwood, Essex. The Brambles is currently a PCTMS practice managed by the Trust. The Practice, based in Brentwood currently has a registered list size of 1,502 patients, and provides primary medical services to Leverton Hall, Brentwood. In the current financial climate the Trust has established a maximum financial envelope for bids that must not exceed the average price paid for Primary Medical Services in the area, which is £72 per weighted patient for Essential and Additional Services ( before out of hours ‘opt out’). Bidders will however be entitled to: • Full QOF under the terms of the National Scheme • Enhanced Services in line with other local providers • Seniority payments if applicable • Premises re-imbursements in accordance with the Premises Cost Directions. Therefore, the PCT has calculated the maximum limit of the financial envelope to be £176,000 based on the weighted list size of 1,329 (including Leverton Hall) and assumptions of achieving maximum income levels in all contractual areas. The lower limit of the financial envelope has been calculated as £134,000 which is based on minimum acceptable performance levels. Further details will be provided at a later stage, during the tender process. However, the PCT will not accept any proposals from bidders which exceed the maximum limit of the financial envelope. The financial envelope is based on the current list size, and will be adjusted to reflect any changes to patient registration. I.e. a bidder could expect the financial envelope to increase if the practice list size increases and decrease if the practice list falls. Bidders must be eligible to hold a GMS, PMS or APMS Contract.
