Laundry Service, Linen Hire and Dust Mat Hire Services

Linen Laundry Service:The Hospital invites tenders for the provision of a laundry service of 'institution owned' clinical blue gowns and white coats with a 24 hour turn around including pick up and drop off at Lincoln Place, Dublin 2. A 6.30 am (Monday to Friday) pick up/drop off is required.This contract is based on an academic term time schedule with varying numbers depending n clinical schedules per month. Quiet periods would be in line with University holiday periods. Quantities would peak at approximately 700 gowns per week with a minimum of approximately 150 per week. Figures are indicative for guidance purposes only as this is a demand led, and will be billed ‘as used service’.Hospital gowns and coats are of a poly-cotton mix. Each item is individually bar-coded and identifiable/traceable to Dublin Dental Hospital only, (individual gown tracking is not required).Only tenders which demonstrate capability to supply laundered linen items for use in a Hospital environment will be considered for award of contract. There will be a requirement to store a stock of items to enable continuity of service.Example of service turn around is as follows: Soiled items used on Friday are collected Monday 6.30 am, laundered and returned by Tuesday 6.30 amLinen Hire Services:There will also be a requirement to hire and process bed linen for a six bedded day procedure day unit. This unit provides dental services to patients under conscious sedation. This will include sheets and thermal blankets.Dust Mat Hire Services:A weekly hire of mats is also required:5 medium and 5 runner: All unicolor MILLIKEN mats must conform to industry standard for food trade and hospital services.On occasions suppliers may be requested to provide additional mats dependent on weather conditions and special occasions.Tenders must demonstrate they have the capacity to launder dust mats suitable for use in a medium foot fall hospital environment and supply these in a timely manner, from collection o
