Collection & Recycling of Plastic Bottles & Paper From Bring Bank Network for Kerry County Council

Kerry County Council collects plastic bottles and paper (newspaper & magazines) at its Bring Bank Network in various locations throughout County Kerry and is inviting tenders from competent contractors for the collection and recycling of these materials from its Bring Bank Network. A list of the Bring Bank sites for plastic bottles and paper is attached in Appendix 1 of the Tender Documents which includes the number of receptacles (skips/bins) provided at each location and the suggested collection frequencies.The receptacles (skips/bins) are to be emptied by the contractor on site after which he will be responsible for all transportation and processing costs. Under the terms of this contract the rates tendered by the contractor for the collection and recycling of Plastic Bottles shall include the costs associated with separately sorting the HDPE & PET Plastic Bottles (to meet Repak requirements).Kerry County Council will be collecting the subsidy payments due under the Repak Payment Scheme (RPS) for all materials collected from its Bring Bank sites under this contract.Kerry County Council requires a consistent, secure and reliable service in which backup is available at short notice in order to ensure the receptacles (skips/bins) are not overflowing.
