A Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been signed between Louth County Council (LCC) and the Department Education & Skills (DES).This is a pilot initiative agreed jointly between both parties to determine:- The scope for greater levels of co-operation between the Department and the local government sector in developing school infrastructure; and- The reporting arrangements to be developed in order to ensure the efficient operation of the agreement as a model for other local authorities.The agreement is for the provision of a new Build 8 Classroom Primary School at the Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda Co. Louth.Louth County Council has been engaged to:1. Proceed with the procurement and appointment of consultants to design a 8 classroom school building based on the Departments standard design templates – Generic Repeat Design (GRD)Note: The 8 Classroom school building design must have the capacity to exted to a 16 classroom school.2. Act as the Project Manager for the procurement and construction of the 8 classroom building project.LCC propose to make the following 2 appointments.Appointment 1- Architecturally Led Design Team Services to provide the following:1. Architect & Project Manager and PSDP2. Structural/Civil Engineer3. Mechanical & Electrical / Building ServicesAppointment 2- Quantity Surveying ServicesThis Notice is for Appointment 2 - Quantity Surveying Services as per the Specification of Service (Project Brief)The appointment is for design services for an 8 Classroom Primary School at Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth in accordance with this Brief.This appointment may at the Employers (Louth County Council) discretion and subject to procurement rules, be extended to cover additional services of a design service nature associated with the extension of the scope of work i.e. the 8 classroom school being extended to become a 16 classroom school.Any extension of the appointment will be subject of a separate fee agreement, based on rates in tendered proposal of
