Tender description

Construction of watermains ranging in diameter from 80mm to 600mm on and in the vicinity of the Clare River and a National Primary Road (N17) in Claregalway, County Galway. The work includes the construction of cross connections on a 600mm trunk watermain operating at high pressure and supplying water to a large population in the hinterland of Galway City, Galway City itself and large parts of County Galway. The watermain works are required to enable the construction of an additional flood eye by the Office of Public Works (OPW) at the bridge in Claregalway. Extensive liaison will be required with the OPW. Some of the works are required to be carried out at night.
