BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK LOCATION The scheme is located on the A66 approximately 3.5km to the East of Penrith between the end of the dual carriageway Brougham By-pass and the junction to Oasis Holiday Park a distance of approximately 2.5km. The carriageway is single. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The works involve the following: Inlay and overlay of the carriageway depths varying between 40mm to 150mm. TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT It is envisaged that the works will be undertaken utilising temporary traffic signals with convoy working when required. The majority of the work will undertaken overnight with traffic management removed during the day. Mandatory speed restrictions of 40 and 10mph will be in force. The works are programmed to start 2nd November 2009 and be completed by 6th December 2009 a duration of 5 weeks.
