Tender description
TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF A STEPPED CARE APPROACH TO MANAGING COMMON MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS IN PRIMARY CARE/IMPROVING ACCESS TO PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPIES (IAPT) Southampton City Primary Care Trust in partnership with Southampton City Council, invites expressions of interest for the provision of a Stepped Care Approach to Managing Common Mental Health Problems in Primary Care for work age residents of Southampton. The Commissioners intend to award a contract following a two-stage, restricted tender process starting with a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire stage. Providers will be required to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high quality services of a similar nature. Successful providers will also be required to demonstrate flexibility in their approach to the development and provision of Services, in line with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. Following award, the successful provider will be expected to work closely and cooperatively with other providers in Southampton to ensure the most effective delivery of primary care mental health services. The commissioners wish to develop a service which has a mix of voluntary and statutory sector providers. We will therefore require the successful provider to subcontract a percentage of the total contract to achieve this aim. The successful Service Provider will be required to provide at least 50% of the main interventions, with a proportion of the remaining interventions to be sub-contracted. The elements and volume of the service to be sub-contracted, and the selection mechanism must be agreed with commissioners in advance.
