Tender description

Location: The scheme is located on the A66 between Penrith and Appleby (Approximately 1 mile to the West of Appleby). The carriageway is single being approximately 9.3m wide. Details of Work: The works will involve two main phases: Phase 1 - permanently realigning a 1km section of the A66. The works include, vehicle restraint barrier, drainage, earthworks, carriageway surfacing, kerbing, traffic signs, road markings and construction of a reinforced concrete slab cantilevered from an existing pile cap to carry the footway and utilities plant. Phase 2 - resurfacing 1.9km of the existing carriageway immediately to the West of the realigned section.
