DSD/ILEX - Development of a Community Engagement Plan

In the context of the development of the Regeneration Plan Mark II Ilex’s most recent discussions with the community and voluntary sector have generated the following issues for consideration in relation to ensuring appropriate community engagement within the process. These are; 1. What do we want to achieve? 2. How do we want to structure this engagement? 3. How do we broaden the involvement of the community? 4. The capacity of the C/V sector to engage, contribute and eventually deliver. ILEX requires a service provider to develop a community engagement plan for Derry~Londonderry which enables citizens on the margins to feed their views and experiences into the regeneration process. Given the complex interactions that will be necessary between those completing the Regeneration Plan Mark II and those completing the Community Engagement Plan (CEP) it is a requirement of the contract that a member of the CEP team be located for the duration of the work (6 months) within Ilex’s office (Exchange House).
