Provision of Distribution Services for Periodical Magazine & Other Literature

Tender description

Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably qualified suppliers to deliver a range of distribution services to the residents and businesses of Southampton. The primary purpose of this arrangement will be for the distribution of the city council’s information publication named ‘City View’. This publication is issued unaddressed and for distribution to all residential and business properties within the city boundary which incorporates gated and non-gated communities. The council intends to award framework agreements following a single stage process. They will be awarded to those providers who submit the most economically advantageous tenders for the specified services. It is envisaged that the contract will be awarded during September 2008. Providers will be required to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high quality services to this customer grouping, either in Southampton or other local authorities. Successful providers will also be required to be flexible in their approach to the delivery programme and the development and provision of future services. The Framework Agreements will run for the maximum period of four years as allowed for by the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
