Tender description

SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL is seeking to appoint a Service Provider to deliver high quality flexible support services for childminders and to sustain and increase the number of childminders in the City in response to Southampton Childcare Sufficiency Gaps Analysis 2008. The service comprises the provision of quality information, training and advice to registered childminders within the City of Southampton ensuring essential and effective links with Children’s Centre and Extended Schools Agenda’s. The service will be on a contract basis with an intended commencement date of 1st April 2009. The contract will be for a period of 2 years with the possibility of a 2 year extension. Please note that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 (TUPE) may apply to the service. The tender process will be a two stage process with the first stage being the completion of a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. This will allow the council to produce a shortlist of potential service provides who will be invited to tender. Whilst every effort has been made to consider the full scope of the requirement the Contracting Authority does not guarantee the volume of goods/service/works required resulting from this tender or that it will accept any tender on completion of the tender exercise
