Production and Project Management of the Publication 'Our City'

Tender description

Expressions of interest are invited in respect of a tender for the Production and Project Management of Stoke-on-Trent's multi-agency publication 'Our City'. This is published by a partnership of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Stoke-on-Trent Primary Care Trust, Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The City Council reserve the right for additional partner organisations to join the 'Our City' partnership at a later date. The scope of the contract will cover all aspects of the production and management of 'Our City' including journalism, selling advertising inclusive of statutory notices, editorial services, photography, sub-editing, design, layout and graphics, proof reading, printing in four process colours throughout and solus delivery to all homes and businesses within Stoke-on-Trent. 'Our City' is produced on a monthly basis and typically has 16 to 24 pages depending on the edition with a print run of 125,000. The contract will run for a two year period from 1st January 2009 to 31st December 2010. The first edition of 'Our City' to be produced under the contract will therefore be the January 2009 edition and thereafter, the publication will be produced on a monthly basis. It should be noted however, that Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the other members of the 'Our City' partnership reserve the right to change the number and frequency of editions of 'Our City' during the course of the contract. The responses to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be assessed and used to select companies to be invited to tender. The successful companies from the pre-qualification exercise will be provided with a full specification for 'Our City' at the invitation to tender stage of the procurement exercise. The City Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
