Tender description

The BBC wishes to award a contract for the regular shipment of a diverse range of equipment, programme related material and the provision of specific service requirements such as Carnets and Merchandise in Baggage attendance. These shipments could typically include a complete drama filming assignment or an outside broadcast unit of considerable tonnage and complexity. The BBC also has requirements for the movement of other highly expensive technical equipment and occasionally goods of a hazardous nature e.g make-up, batteries and pyrotechnics. The majority of shipments are moved by airfreight services, but the BBC also has needs for both sea and overland transport.
