Taxi Service Framework

Tender description

West Sussex County Council invites expressions of interest to tender for the provision of taxi services for the provision of transport to Education, Social and Caring Services and other establishments across the county of West Sussex. This will include transport to and from sites during the course of normal County Council business. The current framework that was established in 2007 is to be supplemented by setting up a second framework agreement of approved taxi service providers to run alongside the existing arrangement. Existing Taxi Service Providers on the framework should not apply to participate in this procurement process. Unsuccessful taxi service providers from the previous 2007 procurement process and minibus operators are encouraged to bid in addition to new providers not previously considered. Coach operators should NOT apply unless they run a taxi service, as these requirements will be met by another procurement process later this year Contractors will be expected to deliver services that are equitable, sustainable and demonstrate a best value approach as defined by the Government.
