Quantity Surveyor for Chatterley Whitfield

Stoke on Trent City Council, supported by English Partnerships, is currently undertaking a programme of works at the former Chatterley Whitfield Colliery site. Phase 1b is the remediation and landscape of 67 hectares of land surrounding the main site to create a country park for the local community. The Council requires an experienced person to provide post contract commercial management and advice in relation to a £7m programme of land remediation, landscaping and earth moving works at Chatterley Whitfield. Must have experience of civil engineering contracts and have knowledge of NEC target cost contracts. Additionally, must be comfortable establishing working relationships at all levels, including senior management within the Council. The contract will commence on 11th August 2008 and run for a 12 month period.
