Tender description

The British Library is seeking a third party to provide staff development and assessment services to assist in the restructuring of the Security Services team. This will require the supplier to provide a practical selection process that mirrors the British Library competencies and the methodology from the assessment process for ongoing recruitment of security employees. The appointed supplier will be required to design, develop and deliver: A development process to meet the new role requirements based on existing competencies within the new operational security function Build a coaching framework to support individual’s personal development Development workshops for staff focussing on self-review and key job skills and competencies over a suitable period of time A final Selection Centre to provide evidence of candidate capability Support and train to managers in selection of staff to new job roles A legacy to provide robust selection process for the future recruitment of security staff The solution will ensure objective selection and adjustment to industry standards with regard to disability, diversity, ethnicity, gender, age and where English is not a first language. The selected supplier is to construct and run assessment centres for 40 participants. The outcome of the Selection Centre is to provide feedback reports on the participants detailing skills, aptitude and suitability based on a particular set of Job Profiles. All interactive sessions with staff are to be run on the British Library St Pancras site and must be staffed by the successful supplier agency, individual reports are to be written and provided to the British Library within one week of the Selection Centre’s completion
