PQQ STAGE - HIGH DENSITY LIBRARY STORAGE BUILDING ESTS2668B (RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF ESTS2668A) The British Library requires, as part of the rationalisation of its London business requirements, to develop and construct a new high density book storage facility at its Boston Spa site. The items include: Books, Serials and Newspapers. As part of this aim, the Library is now seeking expressions of interest from a limited number of appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors to provide a high density environmentally controlled automated library storage building. SCOPE The scope of Works is the design and construction of a High Density Library Storage Building approximately 24 metres high that will accommodate an integrated materials handling system (let as a separate concurrent contract) for the storage and retrieval of British Library collection material. The Works will include, but not be limited to, the following: • Building and Civil Engineering Construction • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing services • Environmentally controlled conditions such as air tight building and reduced oxygen fire prevention system • External works, utility services and landscaping • Full commissioning and testing of the Works FULL PQQ DETAILS ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL SUPPLIERS REGISTERING ON THIS ETENDERING SERVICE
