Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the G-Cloud 15 framework.

  • What is G-Cloud 15?

A Crown Commercial Service framework and online catalogue for cloud computing services (reference RM1557.15). Public sector organisations use it to buy cloud hosting, software and support as off-the-shelf services. It replaces G-Cloud 14, G-Cloud 14 Lot 4 and Cloud Compute 2, and is the largest framework of its kind in UK public sector procurement.

  • What are the G-Cloud 15 lots?

Five lots. Lot 1a Cloud Hosting, Lot 1b Cloud Hosting above the "Official" security level, Lot 2a Infrastructure SaaS, Lot 2b Software as a Service, and Lot 3 Cloud Support. Every lot allows call-off both with and without competition.

  • What are the G-Cloud 15 dates and deadlines?

The Find a Tender notice was published on 23 October 2025. The clarification deadline was 12 December 2025 and applications closed on 30 January 2026. CCS expects to award the framework on 6 August 2026, with the term running an estimated four years to 16 September 2030.

  • When does G-Cloud 15 go live?

The framework is due to be awarded on 6 August 2026, with the estimated contract term starting 17 September 2026. As an open framework it then reopens to new suppliers at intervals, so missing the first application window is not the end of the road.

  • How do I win business on G-Cloud 15?

Being listed only makes you visible. Suppliers who win target buyers that procure through G-Cloud regularly, engage three to six months before existing contracts expire, and time outreach around the budget peak at the turn of the financial year.

  • Who are the biggest buyers and suppliers on G-Cloud 15?

No awards have been made yet, so there is no GC15 spend data. On its predecessors, buyers like DWP, MoD and MoJ and resellers like Softcat and Computacenter led spend, which is a fair guide to who will be active here.

  • Where can I find the G-Cloud 15 supplier list?

Suppliers apply through the Digital Marketplace at applytosupply.digitalmarketplace.service.gov.uk. No awarded supplier list exists yet, because the framework has not been awarded. Once awards are published, the suppliers holding a place appear on this page, ranked by call-off award volume.

  • Can I partner with another supplier on G-Cloud 15?

Yes, and on a framework this size it is often the fastest route in. Subcontracting is allowed with the buyer's prior written approval, and for SMEs a reseller or system integrator can be the way to an award. Stotles shows who is bidding, who is winning and where the public sector spends, so you can spot the partners worth talking to early.

  • What is changing from G-Cloud 14 to G-Cloud 15?

G-Cloud 15 moves to a five-part lot structure, folds in Cloud Compute so there is no separate Cloud Compute 3, retires Lot 4, sets Economic and Financial Standing per lot, and builds in prompt payment.
