All public sector organisations can use this agreement to buy food and drink through a single on-line access point. You will be able to access all food and drink sub-categories. This single lot framework enables public sector buyers, including government, local authorities, charities, and non-profits to access food and drink requirements through Entegra’s AgileChain portal. This free, cloud-based platform provides a single access point for high-quality, regulatory-compliant products from national, regional, local and SME suppliers. The aim of this agreement is to support sustainability, food quality and welfare standards by meeting the Government Buying Standards for Food and Catering (GBSF). It also aims to: reduce food and packaging waste reduce food miles invest in local communities and improve equality and diversity reduce modern slavery risks The agreement will help to shorten supply chains by simplifying the customer journey, helping you to meet your carbon net zero targets. Social value will play a key part in the food supply and delivery solution which will support: tackling economic equality local education and health tackling equal opportunity promoting wellbeing helping public sector bodies to buy food in a sustainable way helping SMEs to supply public sector contracts Buyers will also be able to nominate additional suppliers or producers to the agreement. The framework has an initial term of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further two 1 year periods. As a single supplier agreement, customers will call off by a direct award. There is a maximum call off length of 2 years. For example: a 12 month contract with a 1 year optional extension period or a 24 month contract.
