The council is seeking to appoint two (2) contractors to a framework agreement to support the council’s in-house team with out-of-hours emergency cover. The scope of this framework agreement includes supporting the in-house teams to cover borough wide repairs to the council’s residential properties including communal areas.

The appointed suppliers will support the council’s in-house teams in providing efficient, effective, customer-focused electrical repairs and maintenance services for example repairs to switches, sockets, light fittings etc. It will also include repairs to communal and estate lighting including electrical intakes. Call-off contracts for works will be issued evenly on an alternate basis between the two (2) contractors e.g. Contractor A receives jobs 1, 3 and 5 and Contractor B receives jobs 2, 4 and 6. This will be monitored closely using IT management systems put in place by the Service. The value of works under electrical repairs and maintenance works varies from high-value to low-value jobs. Contractors are expected to carry out all jobs borough wide.
